The Pool House
Refurbishing a pool house to enhance indoor-outdoor connections, as part of a large private Edwardian estate.
The brief for Coombe Earl was to orchestrate the removal of (recent) oak framed windows and panelling that could not withstand the swimming pool environment and its replacement with Accoya bi-folds which allow continuous views across the extensive grounds.
The pool house opens up onto the new outer decking, which houses the external kitchen, dining space, hot tub, lounge deck and recessed firepit.
Behind the pool house is the clients own pub, which employs a darker material palette. The materiality choices for this contrast with the light and open palette of the pool house.
Kitchen Extension
The client commissioned us to produce the working drawings and onsite inspections for this large kitchen extension to the South West of the house.
Our use of Revit 3D CAD ensured that the new roof integrated precisely with the existing.

The internal king post oak trusses each weigh 1 tonne. They support the vaulted roof and provide a strong visual character to the space.
